Can you believe it? This is our 75th review here at Beertastic! Whoohooo! And what a better way to celebrate than with this super delicious new favorite! I have been meaning to try this for ages and finally got a good chance when I had one on top at Hopleaf for my recent birthday hullabaloo. Simply awesome. [Ed. Kevin just pointed out that he actually reviewed this back in October and I totally missed it. Check out his review here. Oh...and I guess this makes this review 'technically' 74 :P I'm posting another right now so nevermind, move along, nothing to see here]

Brewery Hometown: Munster, Indiana [I'm now debating calling this my least favorite state]

Appearance: Clear copper/tan with a light, off-white head. Very crisp, clean and bubbly.

Aroma: Orange/lemon citrus tones with a heaping quantity of hops. On second thought the citrus is overwhelmingly grapefruit-like. But man…a windmill punch of hoppy goodness. PA? IPA? IDKLOLWTFBBQ? It smells like victory to me.

Taste: Clean, striking and with an atonal bitterness. The floral/citrus components are only apparent in more ‘aggressive, frothy’ swigs. Otherwise the hops pwn (sorry I was just playing L4D) with a sharp earthy flavor. Awww baby! Let it swirl in your mouth a little bit. It has a whole wonderful medley of flavors that keep each sip interesting, eyebrow raising. Some more musical perspective; this beer pairs very well with As Tall As Lions – Lafcadio: complexly layered, familiar structure but with striking novelty and depth. ‘Hey Father, Hey hey Father, what do you know?’

Alcohol: 6%

Drink one or all?: 1 or 2…enjoy slowly.

Cost: $11/sixer

Overall: 18+/20. If you like hops, you will propose to this.

haha funny cause i counted all this up too. but we knew jim and dan weren’t committed. but adam and kevin… and you definitely take the cake but also have a ton of group reviews. does this total number include the magic bullet extravaganza?

I reviewed this back in Oct. Gave it a 17/20 I believe but wanted to rate it higher. That’s why i had to get it on tap where it was even better.

damn! i am going to have to make sure to search now before each review! thats the cost of getting near 100 i guess :P

Andy yelled this on Feb 23 09 at 12:34 pm

this is why we need some kind of on site search engine. or at least a list of all our reviews alphabetized

Cannon yelled this on Feb 23 09 at 10:24 pm

lol we do have a search.
look right.
a full listing of reviews isnt a bad idea.
