Oh Rogue. I have seen your beers so many times. And time after time I have passed you by. My goodness I shall never doubt again. This is a lovely lovely stout, so if you’re ready for some full bodied contact, drink up.

Brewery Hometown: Newport, Oregon
Appearance: Blacker than the blackest black times infinity. Ok well not Metalocalypse black but this baby is dark. Creamy tan-brown head lingers around up top saying haiiiii wat up.
Aroma: Wonderfully full bodied chocolate. Not the semisweet or dark chocolate that you get with other chocolate beers but a more rich (dare I say milk! unreal!) chocolate. Nutty, caramel edges with a hint of oats. Oh baby baby.
Taste: I can easily say I have never had a chocolate beer like this. The taste does have a more bittersweet (dark) chocolate tone, but it is clean like no other. The chocolate does give hints of brother bean coffee as well, earthy! Just the right amount of sweetness for a full bodied stout. The flavor is deep without being overly complex or muted, the chocolate stays amazingly clean. The accompanying smells make it a beautiful experience…the big ass 650mL bottle helps too!
Alcohol: 6.0%
Drink one or all?: 1 650mL bottle should set you straight.
Cost: $6.50/bottle. Do it.
Overall: 19/20. Dis is some good beer.
