Breckenridge: Autumn Ale
(17/20)

I’ve always heard Breckenridge was good beer and i had their Vanilla Honey Porter which was less than impressive to me. high hopes are riding with this Autumn Ale.

Brewery Hometown: Breckenridge Colorado

Appearance: The bottle says a dark mahogany which is a pretty close to it being poured. but while in the glass it’s pretty much just black and excessively dark. the head however is a very nice mahogany

Aroma: I don’t know how else to describe it other than sweet and nutty. i was expecting the typical nutmeg but its a dark and sweet nut smell that makes me feel very warm inside :)

Taste: First sip seems bold but very smooth with not a lot of initial taste. but it quickly turns into the dark nut i smelled. from there it leaves you with a sweeter taste that sits in your mouth making you want to drink more to experience the transition again. A lot of changes in the process but it all blends together very well creating a very smooth ale.

Alcohol: 6.7%

Drink one or all?: All six eventually but i would stretch it out to like 2 at a time

Cost: $8.00/6 pack

Overall:17/20 i really enjoy this beer but its something to drink on a crisp autumn day.
