Cannon and I found this beer while we were on our adventure to Friar Tuck’s to find Andy something for the FYS tickets. Not only did the 14% alcohol catch our attention but it also said it was “The World’s Most Extraordinary Beverage”. It is also the strongest lager out there. How can you not try this beer.

Brewery Hometown: It was originally brewed in Zürich, Switzerland but is now in Austria
Appearance: The label is a little plain but it has a picture of an old man with a mighty beard that impressed us. This beer has absolutely no head. It doesn’t matter what you do pouring it in the glass. It has a dark amber color with a slightly reddish tint.
Aroma: It smells like fruit and honey mixed with iron. The iron smell is not too strong but definitely there.
Taste: It was very fruity and tasted like apples. It had a honey after taste that was very enjoyable. The presence of alcohol was there but still hidden very well for 14%. Drinking this beer warms the throat and was a little thicker than expected, almost syrupy. This beer is definitely a new favorite but be careful cause it’ll kick your ass.
Alcohol: 14%
Drink one or all?: This is a beer that you sit down and enjoy. Drinking all 4 would get you completely wrecked since it would be like drinking 2 bottles of wine. I would say 1 to 2.
Cost: $5 each or $16 for a 4 pack
Overall: I gave it a 18/20 Brian gave it a 19/20. Definitely worth a try!

Andy yelled this on Mar 29 08 at 9:55 amI first tried drinking it like beer, you know with hefty sips. That was brutal. Well I thought I was in the wrong, so I cleaned my pallet and drink it in little sips. That only extended the pain. :P
