Yet another beer aquired during the ISU beer run. I have seen this around at Whole Foods a couple of times but have passed over it. Then I saw the bottle calls it a ‘herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.’ After drinking one, I could tell this beer was definitely not a N00B. LVL 70 WUTTTTTTTTT.

Brewery Hometown: Boulder, Colorado
Appearance: The bottle is a little too plain/new age-y for my tastes, which is why I avoided it for a while. However the beer is a nice clear dark gold, with a small head.
Aroma: Damn. Is that even beer? Seriously, it is difficult to find the beer smell in this one. I have had ‘bad’ experiences with other IPA’s but this is a whole other breed; the smell is a wonderful orange/citrus. Very fragrant. It would be a kickass potpourri, LULZ. But yeah…I found myself ‘taking deep hits’ of this beer the entire time I was drinking. Just wonderful.
Taste: Ahhh now I get a hint of that dry IPA taste. The citrus element is very clear in the beer, especially when you are both drinking and smelling the beer together, very pleasant and easy to take down. The citrus provides most of the bite, the alcohol is mostly buried by the fruity/sweet flavor. It leaves your mouth a little on the dry side, but each sip is wonderfully refreshing. I guess that means that you should just keep drinking it!
Alcohol %: 6.8! Yeah this will get you drunk. Fast.
Drink One or All Six?: Realistically 3/4. But if you are partying…shit, this will get you lit and you won’t mind doing all 6.
Cost: $8 / 6 pack
Overall: 17 / 20 If it was less dry, I would push it up even more. Definitely recommend trying it.
