So who wakes up at 6:45 after going to bed at 2:30 after having all the sushi they could eat and drinking just to drive over 2 hours to snowboard for a day we do…and of course some beer had to be drunk for liquid courage.
Appearance: It’s a dark beer. Usual blackish-brown color of a stout. Decent amount of golden foam on top.
Aroma: Didn’t have too strong of a smell..but the lack could have been from snowboarding and being out in the cold, freezing our faces off. But there was a hint of a chocolate malt smell.
Taste: It was like a caramel/chocolate coffee beer with the hint of a malt that really had no finish to the taste, kinda like it was watered down. It was smooth and creamy, just didn’t have anything too inviting. If you took a sip it had a smokey almost like well water taste. My brother said it best…it taste like what he made with a magic bullet which was oatmeal, instant coffee, milk, beer, a trail mix bar and ice.
Alcohol %: 4.9%
Cost: probably the usual $7/ 6 pack that Leine has for their beer but our was at a bar so we paid $4 for 1.
One or six?: Had 1 and I’m good. Don’t care to have again.
Overall: 13/20 Average at best. Wasn’t bad, just wasn’t that good. If I wanted something dark I’d go somewhere else if I could.
